8days gorilla & chimp tour(8 days primate and other wild life safari)

Day one :
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met and picked up by a Koala Eco safaris official. Incase of late evening or night arrival a comfortable middle class hotel awaits you for overnight stay and if your arrival is in the morning or afternoon there is adequate time to travel to Kampala and depending on time of arrival you will be bale to have a trip through Kampala city with our guide. Accommodation will be at a nice comfortable middle class hotel or luxurious hotel if you desire.


Day two;
After a nutritious breakfast, we set off to the South of Uganda with stops at the Ugandan Equator for pictures, shop at the craft market and also visit the Royal drum makers, bargain at the roadside markets bursting with fruits and vegetables if you want.
Continue deeper to the South through the beautiful ever green mountain country commonly referred to as the “little Switzerland” through the escarpment, for an unforgettable sight seeing of the great East African Rift Valley. Finally descend to Queen Elizabeth National park look out for game on entry into the park. Overnight accommodation will be either at the fancy Mweya safari lodge or Jacana Camp or Ecology hostels within the National park.


Day three;
Have an early morning game drive to seek out plains antelope/wildlife. Game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park are really thrilling and offer one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any Game reserve in the world. It is also famous for its tree-climbing lions. The Maragambo Forest is home to an alluring selection of forest monkeys and birds, visit the blue caves to see bats and other mammals. See flocks of flamingo residing at the Crater Lakes and return early for dinner and overnight accommodation. A night game drive is also possible for those who would like to catch the animals in their habitant/places of sleep.


 Day four;
After breakfast visit the kyambura gorge to track chimpanzees which are considered as man’s close relatives too. Return for lunch and later in the afternoon navigate the kazinga channel on a boat cruise which adjoins Lake Edward to lake George. Teem up with a large concentration of hippos, Crocodiles a variety of birds, Elephants splashing cool waters and many other Mammals will be seen drinking at the water‘s edge. Later return to Mweya or Jacana camps or Ecology hostels for overnight Accommodation and dinner.


Day five;
After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable forests; Drive via Ishasha plains to see the tree-climbing lions or take a detour trough Buhoma farmland for a guided nature walk to Bwindi Forest; A magnificent swathe that braces the steep ridges of the Albertine Rift valley and is one of the few forests in Africa to have flourished throughout the last ice age. Bwindi is also home   to roughly half of the world’s endangered Mountain Gorillas. Overnight accommodation and dinner will be at a comfortable hotel lodge or camp as desired by the client. We highly recommend Buhoma camp, for it’s the perfect place to experience the magic of this impenetrable forest.


Day six; Gorilla Tracking!!
Especially hikers will enjoy tracking in the park’s beautiful eco system. We cannot predict whether the hike will take two hours or more or less. Be prepared for a tough arduous day in the Jungle but in the end this will prove to be the highlight of your Primate safari; Meeting the gentle giants of Bwindi staring deep into their pensive brown eyes, watching them up close as they eat, play and rest is definitely a unique, thrilling experience that you will never forget. The ranger guide always informs you on how to behave amongst there giant apes and for conservation purposes you are not allowed to spend more than one hour with the Gorillas. A guided and community walk are also possible, for Bwindi forest is also rich in other primates some unusual bird species and butterflies. Overnight accommodation and dinner is suitable at the Buhoma Community camp, an upgrade to Lake Kitandara luxury camp is also possible.

Day seven:
After breakfast in the morning depart to kabale and take a walk in kabale town then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. “The most beautiful lake in The world”- as BBC describes it, and also Uganda’s deepest Lake. You will take a locally made tree-canoe ride across the lake to explore the Buvuma Island and other beautiful islands that dot Lake Bunonyi. Dinner and overnight will be at the one of the luxurious cottages facing the lake.


Day eight;
We start the long but rewarding drive back to Kampala. On our way we pass Mpigi Village, famous for the royal Drum makers and of course the Uganda equator where pictures can be taken and you can buy souvenir from the nearby craft shops. Freshen up in Kampala and be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
